Please be sure that you are browsing the PalmBeachClassifieds.com site using the most recent AOL browser. Version 4.0 or higher is absolutely required to use our site, as our site relies on JavaScript to function properly. Older versions of the AOL browser do not fully support JavaScript.
Once you are sure you are using the most recent AOL browser, you must also be sure that JavaScript is enabled. Most recent versions of the AOL browser are a modified version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. In Internet Explorer to be sure your JavaScript is enabled, go to the "Tools" menu at the top of your browser window and select the "Internet Options" option. At the top of the window that opens there are a number of tabs. Click on the "Security" tab. Then select the "Internet" Zone from the white pane just below the tabs (the "Internet" Zone has an earth icon in IE 5.0 and higher). Then click the "Custom Level" button towards the bottom of the "Internet Options" window. Scroll almost to the bottom of the "Security Settings" window that then comes up. There are a number of selections under the heading "Scripting." Make sure that the circle next to "Enable" under the sub-heading "Active Scripting" is filled. Click "OK" to exit the "Security Settings" window. Then click "OK" to exit the "Internet Options" window. If your version of the AOL browser does not have settings similar to those described above, please get a newer version of the browser or contact an AOL representative for specific instructions on how to enable JavaScript in your browser.
America On-Line does not fully support the current Hypertext Transfer
Protocol that governs use of the
Web. For this reason, there are special requirements for viewing search
results within this site.
AOL stores pages on its own servers even if those pages contain
instructions that they are not to be
cached. After conducting a search within a certain subcategory (i.e.
Real Estate Sales),
the "results" page may be cached by AOL. When you return to that
subcategory and change the search
criteria, you may find that the results from your initial search are
returned and you simply retrieve the
same page again.
Tips:
- To avoid receiving the same results repeatedly, you should hit reload if
you are conducting a second search
within a subcategory.
- You may also want to avoid bookmarking search
results because the search pages are dynamic and changes frequently. Please bookmark the classifieds index page or category page.
